I believe God is giving us a warning in plenty of time to get our lives in order before the rapture. Not only do we need to be saved and accept Jesus Christ as Savior to prepare our hearts and souls, we need to heed the warnings from God and prepare our physical lives and natural surroundings as well. Your household and your children are your responsibility. I have already told you that we will have periods of time with no electric or running water. We will have difficulties shopping and buying food and supplies we need for daily living. You will not be able to get to the doctor or pharmacy and get your medications. We will not be able to buy gas for our vehicles for periods of time. Banking is going to come to a stand still and we will not be able to get our money out of the banks. I am not real sure why all these things happen. It could be caused by terrorist attacks, we may have a big storm or natural disaster of some sort, it could be our government trying to control us. It may be war and devastation in another country that affect us globally. I am not sure. I just saw the problem in my vision, not the reason for the problem. You are not going to have a warning from the government or news media. I am telling you right now you are going to go to bed with everything just fine and wake up to not being able to buy or sell for periods of time. You are going to wake up to no electricity or outside communication. So start preparing now. Don't wait for the government to tell you or wait till you hear it talked about on the news.
You should stock up on supplies in case you are in lockdown at home for long periods of time. In cases like low level radiation exposure you may just have to just stay indoors or in a home fallout shelter for a while. You may not have to actually leave your home or city. You should also have a small emergency kit like a backpack that you could grab at a moments notice and run with in case you do have to leave quickly. You should have a safe room in your house with supplies like water, cell phone, first aide kits and nonperishable foods. A safe room is good in case of a tornado or something unexpected. Some people use their cellar, a storage closet, or even your garage. You never know when sudden weather, natural disaster, or even a terrorist act will force you to drop everything and respond within just a matter of minutes. So be ready.
The best thing to do is stock up on extra food and water that could hold you over at home for a month or two. Go ahead and start gathering a few things at a time right now. For example, If you normally buy 2 cans of tuna a week, then go ahead and pick up 2 extra cans and keep it in your emergency supplies. Keep extra cash on hand at home. ATM's and banks will be closed. Keep your car full of gas. Have an emergency or evacuation plan in tact with your loved ones. Go ahead and get important papers and photos together that you could grab quickly. I live on the west coast of Florida and this is what we do all the time especially during those few months of hurricane season. It may sound like a big deal or alot of trouble, but it really isn't. We just carry on our everyday lives as usual, but if we are told to evacuate we can load the car up and take off within no time because we already have everything together. If we don't have to evacuate but we are home bound for a few days we are alright with it and do not have to rush out and stand in long lines trying to get supplies. I never park my car on empty at night. When I start getting less than a half tank, I fill up again. As far as extra food goes, I just keep simple things like peanut butter and jelly, granola bars, can tuna, can fruit, saltines, gatorade, dry milk and plenty of bottled water. If you have babies you should keep extra formula, baby food and juices for them.
When packing your backpack emergency kit you should have supplies to last at least for 3 days longer if you can fit it in. You will need a blanket or jacket to keep you warm and a raincoat to keep you dry. Have copies of your identifications, birth certificates, important papers or even important photos to identify yourself and your family. Put those important papers in a waterproof ziploc bag for added protection. Include your name address and phone number plus name address and phone number of a close friend or relative. If there is a tornado your backpak might be blown down the street but they will still be all together. If someone finds it they can return it. If you are carrying your backpack and God forbid something happens to you, you will be identified easily. Have a small first aid kit with bandages and antiseptic. Have some juice boxes, water and small snacks. I put granola bars, beef jerky, small packs of dried fruit and raisins, lance crackers and 2 bottles of water and 1 bottle of gatorade in mine. I can live fine for 3 days off that. along with my first aid kit I also have a respiratory or surgical mask, gloves, socks and bug spray. You should include a pair of sunglasses. In case of low level nuclear radiation the ozone layer can be destroyed and the sun rays can be very damaging to your eyes. A small flashlight and a radio will be handy. Put an extra t-shirt and sweat pants. Wrap everything real tight especially the clothes and blanket and you can get more in your bag. Make an emergency backpack for each member of your family. Personalize your kit to meet your indivisual needs. If you are a diabetic then keep a extra kit with insulin and needles in your backpack. If there are certain medicines that you must take daily to live buy extra and keep them in your kit. Don't make your kit too heavy. An emergency backpack kit can be made for $50 or less. You can buy a backpack for $8-$10 at WalMart.
You have to make preparations to live without electricity. Buy extra foods that do not need to be cooked or refrigerated. If you can afford a generator then buy one. They are always handy to have. I keep box fans and a space heater around for emergencies as well. Most people already have an outdoor gas grill. They are great to cook on when you can't use the stove or microwave. Just have extra gas tanks around for backup.
You will need to have a stock of clean drinking water. When there is a disaster of any sort or when there is no electricity in a city then clean water is a necessity. I try to keep about 20, 10 gallon bottles of spring water in the garage. If we have a hurricane and we decide to ride it out at home, then the day before the storm I clean out the bath tubs and fill them with clean water as well. They actually have tub jackets that you can buy and fill up to keep clean water on hand.
You should have an extra supply of medication around if possible. Ask your doctor next time you go to write out your presciptions for 3 month supply at a time. Have your medicine cabinet stocked with over the counter drugs such as cold medication, cough medication, aspirin, tylenol, motrin, something for a fever or allergy. Especially if you have children. You do not want them to suffer for days or weeks if you are unable to buy medicines.
I also try to keep paper products around like paper plates, cups, forks and spoons. If you have no running water you will not be able to wash dishes. Make sure you have plenty of garbage bags, toilet paper, and paper towels. Again if you have babies you should buy some extra diapers. Or teenage girls may need feminine products.
Keep cleaners around to disinfect such as bleach, salt, baking soda, vinegar and lysol spray. In case of low level radiation exposure you will need epson salt and baking powder to bathe with and detox your body. You should also have surgical gloves and surgical masks. If there is no running water you won't be able to flush your toilets. You will also need bug sprays. If we have no electric that means people will have to have their windows open and you will definitely need bug sprays for your body and for your house.
You'll need flash lights, candles, matches, battery operated radio and extra batteries.
If you have a pet, you should have extra pet food and a plan to take your pet with you if you must evacuate or board them in a kennel.
The items above are small, inexpensive things you can do. If you can afford it, a generator and gas grill would be helpful as well. If we were to be hit by a EMP bomb, like some think may happen, there would be no electric, no running water, no communication (television, computors, radio,no phones or cell phones). There may not be newspapers or mail service either. You would not be able to call 911 for police or ambulance. There would be no banking transactions. If you have a newer model car that has a computor chip or an electronic brain your car would not start either. You know things would be alot like it was when my grandparents were young, back in the 20's or 30's.
If you can afford it, a golf cart, scooters, bicycles and anything solar powered are all good transportation and does not need gas or electricity.
Most of these precautions are for staying at home and riding out the trouble. Sometime you have to evacuate. You may even have to evacuate suddenly, while your kids are at school or your spouse or family is at work. You should sit down together and have a plan that if something were to happen suddenly and you were separated and unable to reach one another, that you would meet at a certain place at a certain time. Video yourself, your family, your belongings and keep that video and all your important papers in a sealed container that you can grab quickly and take off with. I know many people that have emergency grab and go backpacks ready for each family member. These things are like common precautions.
When our electricity is out sometime during storm season we just pull out the cards, board games, books and magazines, and of course the handheld video games, ipods and dvd players, so we can entertain ourselves.
I know some of this sounds really extreme and it may be. You may personally never need any kind of emergency supplies. But it would not hurt to take a few precautions and have a few things stocked up just in case. And even if you don't need them maybe someone you know will. You need keep these things around. I bought backpacks for each family member years ago and each spring I check things out to see if I need to replace stuff that has expired. But alot of things have been in the backpacks since I first bought them 7 years ago.
Your best preparation is your relationship and communication with God through Jesus Christ. GOD SPEAKS TO HIS CHILDREN!! Talk to Him daily about every tiny little detail in your life. Listen to Him talk to you. He will tell you what to do and how to do things. He knows what is best for you. What is good for you may not be what is good for someone else. Without electricity there will be no means of communication. No TV, internet, no phone service, no 911 service, no cell phones. God does not need any of those things to take care of us or communicate with us. Learn His voice. You will need Him to help you. DO NOT FOLLOW OTHER PEOPLE. LISTEN TO GOD AND DO WHAT HE TELLS YOU TO DO!!! |
