 • I believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God, the only authority and rule for our lives. • I believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. • I believe that man, created in the image of God, disobeyed, fell from his orginal righteousness, and became dead in sin. • I believe that Jesus Christ, the incarnate, sinless Son of God, was crucified and arose, bodily, from the dead, so that those who receive Him by faith would have everlasting life. • I believe the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man, and that His indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life as instructed by God in the Bible. • I believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. • I believe in a literal devil who is an adversary to Jesus Christ and all Christians. • I believe we will all spend eternity, when we leave this earth, in one of two places. A literal Hell for all who has rejected Jesus Christ and a literal Heaven for all who has received Jesus Christ. • I believe that having sincere love for God and for one another and receiving Jesus Christ as our personal savior for our sins is the responsability of every human being in this world. |
