Every single person is born into this world as a sinner. Romans 5:12-21(NCV), "Sin came into the world because of what one man (Adam) did, and with sin came death." . Many people die because of the sin of that one man. But the grace from God was much greater. God made a way to correct Adam's failure. Through Jesus Christ God made a way for people to be able to choose life or death. Jesus Christ is that gracious gift to us from God. Before Jesus was crucified men had to sacrifice animals to be cleansed of their sins so they could enter into God's presence. But Jesus was the last blood sacrifice that was needed. One man(Adam)sinned so death rules all people because of that one man. But now those people who accept God's full grace and the great gift of being made right with Him will surely have true life and rule through the one man, Jesus Christ. So as One sin of Adam brought the punishment of death to all people, one good sacrifice that Christ did makes all people right with God. And that brings true life for all. One man disobeyed God, and many became sinners. In the same way, one man obeyed God, and many are made right with God.
JESUS IS ALIVE. Jesus is not only our blood sacrifice, He rose from the dead and defeated death so we could have eternal life with God. Now when it is time for Christians to leave this Earth we leave our flesh and bone bodies here but are immediately given heavenly bodies. Christians really do not die we are just transfered from the Earth to Heaven. Jesus was not just some guy that lived a long time ago, did some miracles and talked about God. JESUS CHRIST IS OUR SAVIOR. HE IS GOD'S SON! Jesus is the blood sacrifice that we need to cleanse us from sin so we could come into the presence of God. If we do not receive the blood of Jesus in our lives to cleanse us, then we are too sinful to come into the presence of God. If we can not come into the presence of God then we can not have a relationship with Him. He will not listen to us when we talk and we will not be able to hear Him when He talks to us. Jesus makes our connection to God possible.
At some point in every person's life, you must make a choice to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You can not get into Heaven because your parents go to church, or your Dad is a preacher or because you think you are a good, nice person. NICE DOES NOT GET YOU INTO HEAVEN. John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man, cometh unto the Father but by me." Without Jesus Christ you have no access to the One True God. Until you accept Jesus as your Savior, you are lost and on your way to Hell. Jesus is the ONLY way you can enter into Heaven and be rapture ready. John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, and whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life." The earlier in life you receive Jesus the better, however it is never too late. If you are still breathing and still alive, you can accept Jesus as Savior. If you have never prayed the sinners prayer, and you have not accepted Jesus as Savior then you are going to Hell when you die. If your church or denomination does not recognize that you must accept Jesus as Savior to be saved then you are not going to the right church, you are merely a member of a social group. Just believing in God is not good enough. The bible says in James 2:19, that "even the devils believe in God and tremble". There are many religions in this world. All religions do not worship the same God. There is only ONE TRUE GOD. We can become part of God's family and one of His children IF we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Many religions believe that Jesus exsisted and many religions will agree that He was a prophet and a wonderful humanitarian. Some religions will even agree that Jesus performed miracles by the hand of God. What separates God's true children and family from the religous people and other religions in the world, is the fact that God's true children believe that JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD. We believe Jesus is the ONLY Savior of the world. We believe that ONLY the blood Jesus shed on the cross can cleanse us from all our sins. We believe that through Jesus we are new creatures and born again leaving our old lives and old selves behind. We believe that Jesus is our ONLY mediator and connection to the One True God. We believe that because of Jesus we will have eternal life in Heaven. We believe God does not help you in life and listen to you, and you are not going to Heaven if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You will miss the rapture and be left here to be destroyed during the tribulation. God will not help you if you reject Him. God loves everyone and does not want to see anyone miss the rapture and spend eternity in Hell, but GOD WILL NOT GO AGAINST YOUR FREE WILL. God will not call you one of His children and you will not have your home in Heaven when you leave this world one day unless Jesus is your Savior. You must willingly choose Jesus as Savior first If you want to be part of God's family.
There are five easy steps to accepting Jesus as Savior.
1. Acknowledge you are a sinner. Romans 3:23(KJV), “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” We we are all born into this world as a sinner. At some point in our lives, we must be born again spiritually, to escape hell. If we never accept Jesus as Savior during our lives, then when we die, we go to Hell.
2. Call out to Jesus for help. God said in Acts 2:21(KJV), ” Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Just call on Jesus. He is your answer to all your problems. He will help you if you ask Him. He is ready and willing.
3. Repent your sins. Acts 3:19(KJV), “Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out.” Repentance is a decision to do better. It is a change of mind, change of heart, and a change of action. If you are really sorry for your sins there has to be changes in your behavior and words.
4. Believe in Jesus. John 3:16(KJV), “For so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Believing in Jesus is accomplished in your heart and soul. Just saying you believe is not good enough. God knows your heart and judges your heart. He knows if you really believe or not.
5. Confession. Romans 10:9&10(NCV), "If you use your mouth to say "Jesus is Lord" and if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. We believe with our hearts and so we are made right with God. And we use our mouths to say that we believe, and so we are saved."
If you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and He is Lord and now lives at the right hand of God, and if you receive the blood sacrifice Jesus made for your sins then you will be saved. I believe praying this prayer with all your heart is the FIRST step to your confession.
Pray this prayer:
| “Jesus I am a sinner. Save me, help me, I need you. I know You died on the cross for my sins, rose from the dead and now live at the right hand of God. I choose to live my life according to Your Word, the Bible. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for writing my name down in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus I receive you as Lord of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.” |
You are now born again, and a child of God. God has written your name in the Lambs Book of Life, Revelation 3:5, "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." Revelation 20:12, "And I saw the dead both small and great, stand before God and the books were open. And another book was open which is the book of Life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in those books, according to their works. " I have not read anywhere in the bible where God has gone back later on and erased anyone from the Book of Life. I have never read that after we receive Jesus as Savior, if we are not good enough God kicks you out of the family. Your works does not get you into God's family and your works do not keep you in His family. We are there because of the blood of Jesus and the blood of Jesus keeps us there. In fact His word says NOTHING shall separate us from the love of God. I believe once you are His by Jesus Christ, you are His forever. Romans 8:38 &39, "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD." When you accept Jesus as Savior you are permanently accepted into the family of God. God is a good Father. He does not ditch His kids later on. John 10:28-30, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father which gave them Me, is greater than all. and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are One." You have just chosen to make the best decision you will ever make in your life. You are ready to meet God face to face one day and you are definitely ready for the rapture of the church.
A-Men!!!
Now that you are saved, ready for the rapture and have been adopted into the family of God, what does God see when He looks at you? God sees your heart. God sees you cleansed by the blood of Jesus and now you are pure, holy and righteous. God sees your potential. God sees the plans he made for you when you were born. It was impossible for you to live a holy pure righteous life and make anything good out of your life before God, because you had the nature of Satan and a sinner inside. When you are born again your old sinful nature is removed and a good Godly nature is born. Now it is possible to be what you need to be and achieve what God has planned for you. After you are born again you are a new creature in Christ. You now have the nature of God and it is now possible for you to be Godly because you are born again.
When you say you accept Jesus as Savior you are saying that you receive His blood sacrifice as payment for your sins. You are saying that you agree to make changes in your life and live the lifestyle that God expects from HIS CHILDREN. You can not say you are a christian and a child of God and still act the same way you did before you got saved. When you really get saved you want to be good and do good. If you do bad things you feel guilty until you make it right. You now have a Heavenly Father (GOD ALMIGHTY) who loves you and is going to take care of you. 2 Timothy 3:5, "Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof; from such turn away." Be careful not to just act like you are saved but inside you are mean, evil and longing to play the sin games of the world. If you are really saved you will want to stay as far away from sin and sinfullness as possible. Don't just pretend to be good.
2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away behold all things become new. " It is like taking a wild animal, a gorilla, from the jungle and trying to domesticate them. Through some training you may be able to make them act tame and civil. You could dress them in human clothes and treat them on a human level but on the inside they are still a wild animal. THAT IS THEIR NATURE. When left alone they will go right back to acting wild and savage, especially if you put them back with other wild animals. You can not change someones or somethings nature without them being born again as a new creation.
As soon as we take this first step of entering into God's family we have access and entitlement to all that God and Heaven has to offer. We are no longer living by a set of written rules. God leads us and guides us to what is right and what is wrong by His Holy Spirit that is now on the inside of us. We start living according to God's rules of grace and mercy. Grace is when we receive blessings from God that we have not earned, it is a free gift because He loves us. Mercy is when God pardons us from punishment that we do deserve. Jesus our Savior took all our punishment for us. Before we accepted Jesus as Savior, God was judging our lives by the laws. After we accept Jesus God judges us according to His grace and mercy. We are no longer under the law but under grace. This is not a free ticket to just go around sining, breaking laws and hurting people. You will be disciplined and punished for bad behavior.
If I am truly disciplined to the spirit of God and I acknowledge and surrender to His voice and prompting, then I have no need that anybody tell me anything. The spirit of God on the inside of me teaches me, leads me into all truth, comforts me, corrects me when I get off track, convicts me when I do something wrong, warns me of things to come and things to look out for, shows me those to whom I should bless or those whom I should avoid, and reveals knowledge and wisdom to me when needed. I don't really need to be told what the rules and laws of life are because I follow the prompting of my heart and I live and conduct myself by God's law of grace and love. I now have the nature of God on the inside of me which is love, kindness and generousity. While under God's grace and love, I will not intentionally hurt anyone or myself. I'm not perfect. I will make mistakes sometime which God will point out to me when I make them. As soon as I realize I have sinned or made a mistake, all I have to do is ask forgiveness and not do it again. Because I love God I immediately want to correct the problem. The same day, before the sun goes down. Ephesians 4:26, "Be ye angry but sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath." Please go to the "forgiveness" page on this website for a more in depth explanation on forgiveness. Everybody experiences anger. It is a natural emotion that God gave us. However, things are done and said sometime in anger that shouldn't have been. You are human so that happens. When it does happen, apologize, forgive and move on. God automatically forgives when we ask for it. He also forgets and never holds it against us and never brings it up again. That is His grace and love at work toward me. This is how God wants His children to act as well. God's children have our own family code of honor, respect, integrity and goodness.
One of the hardest things about being a Christian is knowing who to trust and not trust. It is trying to look past people's exterior and see people's true heart. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 11:14, "..For Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." Satan's priority everyday minute of the day is to hurt God's children. He steals, kills and destroys. Satan works through people just like you and I. Satan likes to work through those who on the outside look like beautiful, trusting angels, but on the inside they are a mighty force for Satan's work. Be careful who you trust your life with. Matthew 7:15, "..they come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravishing wolves."
My grandma used to say don't judge a book by it's cover. Some things and some people are not the way they appear to be. People will show their true self sooner or later. If you give them enough rope they will hang themselves. Matthew 10:16, "Behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." Luke 10:3, "..I send you forth as Lambs among wolves." We as Christians have to be in this world everyday, so be cautious.
I really don't need the United States constitution to tell me what is right and wrong and what I can and can not do; I already know by the spirit of God on the inside of me. It is great to live in a land of freedom so I have the right to worship God and conduct my life according to His statues. It is great to live in a land whose laws were originally written according to the laws of right and wrong written in the bible. But now that the US government has decided to separate themselves from God I have to question some of their decisions. I need to discern if some of their decisions are Godly or not and act accordingly. For example, just because the government thinks is alright for 2 people to live together without marriage does not mean I can do that because my bible says not to. So just because something is legal or socially acceptable does not make it right with God. Read your bible and do what your bible says. Conduct your life the way God says not by what the government says. As a newborn child of God, stay in close communication with your Father. Come before Him in prayer and listen for His voice to lead and guide you through life. He has great things planned for you. If you follow Him daily, He will lead you to your promised land.
When we accept Jesus as Savior some things are given to us as a free gift. We can't earn them, buy them, or work for them no matter how hard we try. These things are mostly spiritual things like, salvation, righteousness, peace, joy, heavenly home, grace and mercy. And these spiritual things God says are the most important things in life. The other things in life material and physical things we have to earn those. Things like money, great job, houses, cars and healthy bodies. We have a role to play. We have to put forth some discipline, obedience, sacrifice and work. God will make it possible for us to have these things after we have sown the right seeds and disciplined ourselves to what God expects. The more you love God the more material possessions He gives you. The more devoted and the more you prove your loyalty to God and the family of God the more material things you will receive from God.
Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Think of a good relationship between parents and children. The parents give the children life, food, shelter, safety and have fun with them all for FREE. You don't expect your kids to pay you for that or work for it. Now as they grow and mature they learn to do chores which they can earn money and privledges for. If there is a family business they may have to help out with that as well. When they have been good and they have helped the family, they can expect some benefits in return. If they are hateful and selfish they will still get a house to live in and food to eat but no benefits no material gifts. In fact they may get punishment and discipline for the bad behavior. You still love them. You don't kick them out of the family. You still take care of their daily needs but they better not ask to get a new ipod or go to the movie with a friend, they haven't earn it or conducted themselves well enough to deserve it. Our relationship with God and material things are a little bit like that. God loves His children very much and has a wonderful plan for each one of us. Some things are a free gift, some things we inherit for just being a member of the family, and some things we have to work for and earn.
You need to go to the "Christianity" page and the "holiness" page on this website for some highlights on how a Christian should live and conduct themselves. |
